Reflective Teaching : Day 1

Write your goals for the school year. Be as specific or abstract as you’d like to be!

Goals, you have to be careful with these tricky things. There are a few guidelines I follow with goals

  • They have to be measurable
  • They have to be attainable
  • You only set 2-4 goals at a time

This may seem odd, but when working with kids, you need every one of these.  Goals need to be just that, goals.  If you can’t do these three simple things then they become dreams- something that you would love to happen but in reality is fantasy.

My goals for 2014:

  1. Engage my Students
  2. Engage Myself
  3. Have fun in the classroom

I am pretty sure these are self explanatory in nature, if you want me to elaborate on them, throw me a comment.
